Here's another one for the list.  The Maritime Museum at Hyde Street Pier in
San Francisco has exhibits on the history of heads on ships in the
restrooms.  The stalls feature illustrations and quotes from diaries and
writers such as Mark Twain that make fascinating reading while sitting.  You
really appreciate the modern conveniences after reading about the hazards of
using the head on an old sailing ship in a storm.
