Hello All,

I'm conducting some research on an ivory hair comb, Italian or French, 16th
century, and have found a photograph of an identical comb (but not the same
one, possibly its pair) in a catalogue at the Met. An historian named
Ferdinand Winters conducted research on European combs and published this
photo, with his findings, in 1907.

The comb is listed as coming from the Carraud Collection, Bargello, Florenz.
Does anyone know of this collection, or if it even exist today. An address
would be a great help!

Please send any and all responses to:

Thank you in advance!
