Lessons Learned from the 2003 Mold Outbreak
at Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site

MACREN invites you to attend the sixth in a series of disaster preparedness
and response workshops for museums, historic sites, archives, and libraries.

Home National Historic Site.

The workshop will address the following topics: managing a mold emergency,
protecting museum collections and people, working with contractors for
dehumidification and mold remediation services, environmental monitoring

likelihood of a mold outbreak, and managing building moisture and mold
prevention.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their specific concerns
about the workshop during the final discussion segment. Participants will
also receive handouts with helpful information relating to the workshop
topics and will take part in a hands-on monitoring exercise. Snacks,
drinks, and lunches will be provided.
