Digging by hand through sludgy sediment that filled the 43-foot vessel,

**  Egyptian Oasis Yields 11 Mummies
Archaeologists have found 11 mummies in Egypt's Western Desert, including
one of a child entombed with his parents and wearing a mask that shows him
in tears

**  Turkey baffled by stream of doubtful smuggled Picassos
 Eight paintings attributed to Picasso have been recovered by the Turkish
authorities in the past year

**  Virtualmuseum.ca links all Canadian museums
With a $75-million investment from the federal government and a number of

the country into one site

**  Blair rejects Elgin Marbles demands
