Boylan P's electrons arrived as:

>I vote for NO attachments.

Agreed. From a sender's viewpoint, an attachment is a poor choice of
communication for a few reasons:

1. People like me will not open unsolicited attachments because of the
virus threat. (I get attachments all the time from artists interested in
exhibiting their work. They are never opened...)

2. Attachments slow down an individual's email retrieval.

3. Attachments can generally only be opened if the receiver is using the
same computer platform and computer software/version as the sender.

So, all-in-all, a great percentage of one's intended audience will never
see the attachment.

And, I think Museum-l is set to reject attachments, anyway. If it isn't,
it should be. For text, Patrick's advice is best -- just copy and paste
the message directly into email. For picture, upload them to a server
and send us the URL as email.
