Can those of you who are involved in collections work for a municipality
tell me what role City museum (art and/or history) staff have in
determining the nature of the art and furnishings collections that will
belong to the City? In other words does staff help manage the collections
that do not come under the purview of the museum? If so is there a process
whereby a board makes a final determination regarding inclusion in the City
Collection?
