Colleagues,
AAM has no relationship with the music licensing company BMI. We have not
endorsed their products and we are not involved with them in any way. A few
weeks ago AAM's customer service team started receiving phone calls from
members saying they were receiving communications from BMI. At that time,
we began developing a fact sheet on museums and music licensing so we
could provide information that would help museums understand licensing and
copyright issues.

Please do not assume that because BMI is apparently using AAM's name that
we have authorized that use. We have not, and have contacted our
attorneys to learn our options.
