About 10 years ago Lela Hersh of MCA Chicago developed an artist contract
for site specific/commissioned work.  It has been presented by Lela in
various iterations (all improvements) at several conferences over the years
(AAM & ALI-ABA among them).  Every museum I have worked at has adopted it,
cleared it with our own attorneys and used it successfully.  I have found
the artists have no objection to it, as it spells out everything in clear
understandable language protecting both the artist and the museum.  If the
