Although not a combined M.A./Certificate program per se -- at the George
Washington University in Washington DC you can take an M.A. in
Museum Studies with an academic core in Anthropology or inversely you
can take an M.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in Museum
Studies. You can also get an M.A. in Anthro. elsewhere and then get a
Certificate in Museum Studies (GWU offers a 1-year Certificate program
for people who already have a Masters degree). Although other Anthro.
Dept's may be better (esp. if a PhD in Anthro. is your ultimate goal --
GWU doesn't offer one), the Museum Studies program at GWU is
excellent -- it all depends on your career priorities.

On the East Coast, you may also want to look at University of Delaware
or New York University (although getting into the Anthro. program at NYU
is quite a challenge).
