There are several shippers you might have used (not just Artex). Try these:

USArt Co. Inc--Crating and transport, exclusively fine art, the big guys
running trucks across the country all the time.
New York office
(718)472-5784

Crozier Fine Arts--Crating and can arrange transport
(212)741-2024

Masterpiece--many people us them as a customs broker, does fine art
shipping
(212)825-7000

Atelier 4
(718)875-5050

TCI (Transportation Consultants Inernational)-- a broker, they'll make
arrangements for crating and shipping using other vendors. They do not
crate and ship themselves. They're prices are quite fair.
Cranford, New Jersey
(908)272-6500

This is not an exhaustive list but should give you a start.
