Ok, so we're going to design and run an on line museum game.
Test market the idea by having several museums that have regular visits
from school groups participate in a comic book game.
The idea is to pass out to the class some time before the visit a comic
book that is set up like the game will be. Each page or set of cells has
clues that lead to an art work. The player must enter the name of the
art work or something about it.
The book is laid out as the museum is and will aid the student/player
find their way around the museum. Those players who complete the game
book and solve the game puzzle get a family discount ticket to the
museum.
If this proves successful then pass out the comics to classes that will
not be visiting, in those comics put a free pass for the student and a
discount pass for a parent.
Again if they win they get a family discount or even a family free
pass.
If the program works you change the comic book every few months.
As more museums come join the project in the test stage, you can then
look for funding and game designers and hosts.
It is possible that as schools become computerized students could earn
class credit for playing the game from school computers.
Players who win on line could print out the free pass or go to the
closest museum to claim their prize.
