Everyone - I have read "Institutional Trauma" and also did a book review
of it for News & Issues, the newsletter of the Association of College and
University Museum and Galleries, Sprimg '96 (Vol. II, No. 4). It's worth
it, and I ordered several for out staff and encouraged everyone to read
it. It was interesting but it has also been helpful because my museum is
undergoing great change, much the same as several of the museums (case
studies) in the book - we are moving into a new facility that nearly
quadruples our size and triples our staff-see the web page at
www.omnh.ou.edu/

There's no doubt that change is exciting yet fearful for many people.
Some REALLY don't want to change, some want to but don't know how, some
can't. So far, we have survived many of the traumas that the case
studies describe, but we've had a some scrapes and some scraps. The book
helped us prepare.
