Calling all twillers, platters, coilers and twiners - as part of my duties
assisting with the cataloguing of our African ethnographic collection, I
need to write descriptions of a couple of dozen baskets. I find I know so
little about the structure of any save coiled baskets that I sound like a
moron. I need a good basic text that would describe the terminology for
the parts and techniques of basketry, and some general information about
the types of materials used. Alternatively, if I could talk to someone who
knows baskets and can answer questions and recommend resources, I would be
eternally grateful. TIA - Anne
