Electronic Media Specialist

The Chicago Academy of Sciences is soliciting applications for the
position of Electronic Media Specialist to be filled during the third
quarter of 1998.

This full-time positon is responsible for coordination of exhibit-related
electronic media, equipment and productions. Exhibits in the Academy's
Nature Museum include a variety of multimedia presentations and related
hardware - including software-based multimedia, sound programs and video
presentations. The Museum also hosts the Academy's web servers used
extensively for distance-learning activities employing these same media.

Successful candidates will be knowledgeable in electronic media - sound,
video and software, a/v/c hardware, and familiar with MacOS/WinDOS/UNIX
systems. A BA/BS/BFA in a related field of study, production or
post-production experience in one or more media, ability to collaborate
with non-specialists, and a serious interest in informal science education
are required skills.
