There is a stand-alone electronic device for counting people. No
wires or complicated buttons. Just a reset button. Works on batteries
(for at least five years). Works with a micropower infrared sensor.
Maximum count: 9,999,999. It's physical size is very small.

And, yes, it does count passing staff members as well....
However, if the number of times staff members pass is relevant for
the total count there is something wrong with the number of visitors
you receive anyhow......
