Dear Robyne,

One treasure is Gateway National Recreation Area's Fort Wadsworth on Staten
Island. It is a collection of forts and batteries that protected the New
York City Harbor for almost 200 years, under the auspices of the National
Park Service. The oldest structure was completed in 1862, Battery Weed. It
was used during the Civil War to protect the New York Harbor.

The website is: www.nps.gov/gate

Also, check out the Olive Garden in Times Square. They are offering a
dinner/party package from 9 pm - 1 am.

I hope you enjoy your New Years Eve.
