Ellen,

We play 2 DVD's, each diff and each on a diff TV, 6 days a week 7 hours a day on a loop and we have not had any problem with ours and we have been playing them for at least a year without changing the disks that I know of. The disk is removed from one and left in the other due to display. We don't even clean our DVD and player regularly though I suppose we should.

I think your problem might be your TV/DVD player combo. Our DVD player is separate from the TV not built in. A number of years ago I had read/heard that the Combo TV/DVD or TV/VCR units have problems with one component wearing out before the other causing the unit to not function properly. I wonder if this is not the case for you. You might try running the DVD on a different unit at home or in an office and see if the problem doesn't clear up.

Hope this helps.
