We are located on the White River and we have done artworks in the river,
facing the river, about the river and had a fundraiser where we got into
canoes and paddled down the river. We are even a stop on the "river school"
curriculum being done through the public schools. The river is a major part
of our property and identity and we could not imagine not having it.

Email me offlist if you want specifics.

Subject: is your site located on a body of water?

Calling all sites who are fortunate to be located beside a body of
water. I have been asked to speak at a Canadian Heritage River
Conference on the education programming / special events and
interpretation that are possible for sites that are located near water.
I wanted information from other museums / historic houses that could
shed some light on how they use the resource with respect to the above
mentioned categories (or others I may have missed).. For those
responding thank you for taking the time. I look forward to hearing
from the list.
