Here in the UK "Senior Citizen" is normally considered to be anyone who is aged 60 or over (based on the age at which state pensions become payable).   

"Child" is normally anyone under the age of 16 (16 is when school stops being compulsory). The definition of child shows more variation than that of "Senior Citizen".   

"Student" is not normally considered to be an age definition. The intention is usually to include anyone who is in full time education and is too old to be a "Child". This is usually done by requiring them to show some sort of id card.  For example a Students' Union Membership card.  Although some part time students will also have suitable id cards this will tend to exclude people who just attend evening classes.

"Adult" is everyone else. However in the UK there is often a discount for unemployed people which is given if people can show the appropriate id issued by the Government (known as a UB40).

Are there approved museum standards governing the definition of age-based
admission price categories?  IE, is there an official definition of what
age range constitutes an "Adult," a "Senior," a "Student" and a "Child"?
Or should every museum define those categories for itself?
