The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE), an
internationally renowned organization specializing in the scientific study
of museum artifacts and their materials, has a job opening for a Chemist.
The incumbent provides expertise and services in the examination and
analysis of museum objects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in
physical science, masters preferred, and experience in the use of SEM-EDS or
XRF. Experience working with small samples and cultural materials is highly
