Director of Development and Communications--NJ
For The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, located in Summit, we are
seeking a Director of Development and Communications.  The Visual Arts
Center is a dynamic organization with diverse studio art, education and
public outreach programs housed in a recently expanded building.  The
successful candidate will lead a staff of four to manage the Annual
Appeal, public and private grants, corporate sponsorships, special
events, membership and communications, donor relations and major gifts.
Other duties include: initiating grant submissions; organizing and
working with fundraising committees; preparing annual status reports;
and supervising all public relations, newsletter, website and marketing
initiatives.  Four years experience in development at an arts center,
museum or similar organization and BA required; excellent interpersonal,
management and writing skills essential.  Competitive salary and
