Hi All! I could use some tips on working with volunteers. I work for a
mid-sized historical society. In recent years our volunteer numbers have
dropped dangerously low. I recently sent a press release to the papers
asking for volunteers. I went from having 2 volunteers to having 27. What do
I do? I could use some tips on scheduling, training, etc. We have a museum
and archives. We already have paid docents. I have a variety of
opportunities, but no one was specific about what they would like to do. I
have a book about volunteer management, though I can't remember the name
right now. But I could use some advice from people like me who already have
several responsibilities outside of volunteer management. Thanks!
