RESOURCE CENTER COORDINATOR     	

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex in downtown Sheboygan, has a full-time opening for a Resource Center Coordinator. The 99,000-square-foot facility is comprised of eleven galleries, studio-classrooms, an interdisciplinary performance space, theatre, retail shops, café, and sculpture gardens. Responsibilities include reference and research for six departments: Exhibitions, Performing Arts, Education, Development, Arts/Industry, and Special Events; management of collections: books, museum catalogues, periodicals, slides/images, archival, sound/video; management of inter-library exchange program, catalogue sales, and resource center volunteers; and budgeting and long-range planning. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication (written and verbal) and organization skills; the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment where consultation and collaboration are essential; knowledge of current library technologies; and will be creative, innovative, and motivated to continually seek improvements. Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in art history or library science preferred. Review of applications will continue until position is filled.
