I would appreciate hearing from museums that have created "one-stop"
physical and/or virtual information centers providing info from some
combination of library, slide library, musuem collections info,
education services, etc. to museum patrons, particularly those which
have included digital technologies, websites, etc as part of the
information service.

How did you physically structure and locate the service?  How is it
staffed and to whom does it report?  How was it initially funded, and
has ongoing funding been found?  What computing resources/technologies
does it take advantage of?
