Public Relations Director

SITES, the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, develops
exhibitions in art, history and science that circulate to museums,
galleries, libraries and other public exhibition spaces nationwide.  We are
seeking a Director to develop and carry out a comprehensive PR
program.  We seek a PR professional with experience promoting cultural
events to diverse audiences at both national and local levels. The ideal
candidate will also have experience coordinating museum and/or cultural
arts public information activities with corporate sponsors.  Strong writing
and communication skills are required.  This is a Federal Civil Service
position.  Salary range $45,939 - $59,725.  For a complete application
