I'm very happy to see the inquiry regarding Museums and National Identity.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that this is
*exactly* the topic of DEMHIST's upcoming conference in October 2002 in
Amsterdam. DEMHIST is ICOM's official international committee for historic
house museums.

Voting members of DEMHIST are invited to participate in the program of talks
and workshops. The deadline for submitting abstracts is in the late spring.
Non-DEMHIST members are heartily invited to attend (and to become voting
members of DEMHIST, <grin>).

I'm at home, so if anyone wants further information, please contact me at
work at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum (the seat of the official secretariat
of DEMHIST) [log in to unmask] , and I'll send it to you from
there.

We hope to see you all in Amsterdam,

Star
