Happy New Year to everyone on the list.

I had a number of replies to my initial query about controlling mice in open
displays, both on and off list. Many thanks to everyone who took the
trouble to respond. Perhaps it would have helped, or limited some innocent
fun, if from the start I had admitted to sharing my home with three cats,
who very efficently provide personal rodent control.

There does seem to be a definite connection between cat owning and the
museum profession and perhaps this explains a limited amount of direct
experience in, for example, the use of ultrasonic devices.

Thanks once again, and I hope in 1998 all mice will stay in their proper
places - out of museum displays.
