I too am tired of the discussion and flames on the Michael Hering
quote.    In no way defending it, but rather to put it into
perspective, I just wonder what the reaction would have been if there
had been a posting from a discouraged Jane Doe  remarking how she did
not get the nod as Director of the ABC  museum because " I guess they
only want a white male (or just a man) for the position."
