CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN

TITLE: COORDINATOR, FAMILY AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the development, marketing,
implementation and evaluation of year-round income generating programs for
families and children.  Coordinate summer programming in the Children's
Garden for visiting families, school and day camp group visitors, fee-based
workshops, and other special audiences. Train and supervise volunteers to
engage children in learning activities in the Children's Garden. Work with
staff to help maintain the appearance of the Children's Garden grounds and
structures. Conduct regular administrative responsibilities including
attendance and financial record keeping and budget monitoring. Assist with
other projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:   BS or BA in Education, Museum Education, Environmental
Education, Botany or Biology, with 3 years experience working in children's
education.  Knowledge/familiarity with current teaching issues and
methodologies.  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
