On splintering.

Prior to reading Musuem-list messagesthe index appears on my screen.
I see the actual sender, the size of the message and the subject line.
Perhaps if we were all brief but exzacting in subject lines and checked
with sysop to see that index/dir was available we would not have to
split the list and those who are overwhelmed could winnow prior
to reading.
Just a thought.
