Dear list members,

I am interested in learning more about video conferencing and its
potential with respect to use in academic/professional conferences and
symposia. Has anyone on the list had experience utilizing this technology
under such circumstances? Did you find it effective? Did it present any
limitations or problems? As a means of opening channels of communication
during these times of economic restraint such technology seems to present
a great deal of potential (assuming that the costs involved do not exceed
the costs of flying conference participants back and forth!!). I would
appreciate any comments you might have on the subject...
