  I believe that both AAM and SAA (Society for American Archaeology) have,
for a number of years, *suggested* greater sensitivity on the part of
museums in the display of human remains of American Indians and Native
Alaskans and Hawaiians, but I don't recall anything aproaching the level
of *guidelines*.  Is this what you're thinking about? Or have you heard
of something more *official* more recently?
 
  Here in the Southwest US, a number of museums, in consultation with
representatives of local Indian communities, have voluntarily removed
human remains and some sacred objects from public display.
