In reply to Sara Saganace's request for information about lace, there is an
active discussion list of lacemakers on the Internet -- (called Arachne).
There are hundreds of very knowledgeable people on this list from all over
the world. Much of our discussion focuses on identifiication, history and
technique. Some basic information about lace can be found in the Arachne
FAQ handbook at:

"Lace- and Lace-Chat Subscriber's Handbook available at
ftp://ftp.arachne.com/lace-archive/Handbook.txt. Last, you can find it at
http://www.wp.com/90971/faq.html, click on the link to the handbook
(handbook.html). This same site holds the FAQs we have so far published to
the list."

If anyone needs more information or would like me to post a question to the
Arachne list, I'll be glad to try to help.
