                     ED-MEDIA & ED-TELECOM 97

WORLD CONFERENCE ON EDUCATIONAL MULTIMEDIA AND HYPERMEDIA
        WORLD CONFERENCE ON EDUCATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS

               June 14-19, 1997 * Calgary, CANADA

                   FINAL CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

    Work-in-Progress Short Papers & Poster/Demonstrations

          ** Submission Deadline: March 20, 1997 **

               Hosted by University of Calgary
                         Organized by
AACE- Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This Final Call for Participation is offered for those who either were
unable to meet the first deadline for submissions or were not ready to
present a finished paper or project. You are invited to submit a proposal
for either a Poster/Demonstration or Work-in-Progress Short Paper session.
These categories of sessions have been quite popular in the past for the
efficient exchange of information about on-going research and projects.

Submit a 1-page abstract or outline of your paper or current project. Your
proposal will be reviewed and if accepted your session will be included in
the Final Program and published in the CD-ROM version of the Proceedings.

Work-in-Progress Short Papers are 15 minute presentations and are brief,
more condensed presentations of ongoing projects or research. Basic
presentation AV/computer equipment is provided.

Demonstrations/Posters are 2 hour informal presentations and enable
researchers and non-commercial developers to demonstrate and discuss their
latest results and developments in progress. These sessions offer
opportunities to gain valuable feedback and to establish contact with
similar projects.

Demonstration/Poster presenters will be required to arrange for their own
systems software and hardware. The Conference will provide a table, poster
board and electricity for each session.

Submission Information
----------------------
The general principles applying to all are:
1. All communication will be with the contact presenter who is
responsible for communicating with co-presenters of that session.
2. All presenters must register and pay the registration fee.
3. The conference will attempt to secure basic equipment needed for
presenters. However, when special equipment cannot be obtained,
presenters may need to bring or rent equipment.

Proposals may be submitted in either hard copy (mail or fax 1 copy) or in
electronic form. Electronic proposals in the form of URL addresses or ASCII
files (uncoded) are preferred. Submissions with figures should be sent as
either URL addresses or printed pages.

Poster/Demonstration and Work-in-Progress Short Paper submission proposals
must include:
* abstract of at least 1 page
* cover page information (see below)

Cover Page must include:
