I would like to find information on a Twinplex Strop and Sharpener recently
brought in the museum.  The man
who brought this piece in says that it was patented in
1872, it does have a serial number on the back, but
it does not say patent No.  In also says made in the U.S.A.
I know that the safety razor was not invented until the
early 1880's.  So I can not believe this item was made
or patented in 1872.  Anyone with information, please
let me know.
