Not all libraries have computers or have top of the line reference
materials.  If someone has done the research and its on the web why on
earth repeat the effort?

Also for the most part books are the 'official' view of things and museums
really have to go beyond the myth and legends that have been told and
retold ad nausium.  The computer and the internet are a *tool* just like
any other, to be used or abused.  It should never be the end all but a
supliment.
