Internship Opportunities at the International Tennis Hall of Fame

MUSEUM COLLECTIONS INTERNSHIP
Basic Function:
Assist in the management and organization of the International Tennis Hall
of Fame Museum Collections and Archives, including the permanent object
collection, the photograph archives, and the film, video, and recorded
sound archives. Primary responsibilities include cataloguing, housing and
maintaining collections, and entering object recordsinto database.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Learn the collections management system used to record the artifacts
- Assist with cataloguing and housing collections
- Enter documented collection into the Collections Management Database
- Assist museum staff inventory the collections

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have excellent descriptive writing skills
- Must have an attention to detail
- Must have basic computer knowledge, including databases (preferably
Access-based databases)
- Interest in Museum Studies, Archives, Public History, American Studies,
Historic Preservation, Film Preservation, or Photographic Preservation
- Ability to define goals, use good judgment, and meet expectations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn and ask questions

Employment Status
- up to 40 hours per week, stipend available with credit
