"...which is the prevalent pronounciation."

     I worked for the ND-SHPO for years, and never
     understood where the "i" sound came from in the
     pronunciation.  It's pronounce ship-o (rhymes with
     "hippo") here, but I always prefered "shhh-po."  :)
