I think that this has been going on within the discipline for some time,
however, I think that if one buys the idea that great exhibitions are those
born out of curatorial passion, a balanced opinion may not be present. In
fact, I think that the sooner we get away from the idea that exhibits are
like books - *the definitive word on a subject*, and get closer to the idea
that they are more like a journal article - *in my informed opinion* then we
will be able to present controversial exhibits more freely and open the
future up to numerous possibilities. It seems obvious that the museums we
know are dinosaurs, who knows what is ahead, but I find it exciting!!
