I would be wary of wrapping it in anything that is not breathable (NOT tyvek).  Especially at this time of year, your package will undergo numerous temperature changes during its journey and there is a possibility of sweating within the package that may do your piece no end of damage...

I would wrap it in tyvek, then bubble, then put it in a double or 
triple strength cardboard box padded with foam, and send it Fed Ex.  
The main thing is to make sure the box is thick and the piece will not 
slide around.  I have received things from both companies, and the 
boxes get beat up pretty bad.  Over pack it for security.
