The area of consideration is All Qualified Persons.  Applications will be
accepted from current Federal employees interested in a temporary position,
reinstatement eligibles, those eligible under special appointing authorities,
i.e. handicapped, VRA, disabled veterans, etc., and applicants who have not
previously worked for the Federal Government.   VRA applicants who wish to be
considered under both VRA procedures and competitive certification must submit
two (2) complete applications.  When only one (1) application is submitted, it
will be considered under VRA procedures only.

information sheet.  Displaced employees requesting special selection
consideration under the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program

the full amount of it if re-employed under any type of appointment.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Specialized  Experience OR Education
Requirements:  applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience
equivalent to the GS-07 level in the normal line of progression for the
occupation OR 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate
education OR master's OR equivalent graduate degree related to the position.
Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the
particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties
of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be
filled.  Related experience is work in the operation or management of a museum
or similar collection of valuable objects which required understanding of
collections principles, professional standards and practices.   College
Transcript must be submitted if qualifying based on education.

STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  In consultation with the Associate Registrar for
Information Management coordinates and assists in the implementation and
maintenance of the automated information management system for the Museum's
collection of art and artifacts for the permanent collection or loans for
special exhibitions.  Assists in writing, updating and presenting training
courses and the user's manual for the system in accordance with Museum
procedures and practices.  Manages the paper and automated documentation for
the Artist's Registry of contemporary works on the Holocaust and the
Constituent Module of the database consisting of records of people associated
with the artifacts.

KNOWLEDGES, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS (KASOCS):
1. Knowledge of museum practices, methods, techniques, operations policies and
   procedures for collections management.
2. Knowledge of automated data processing applications, techniques and
   procedures and be able to apply them to the Museum's electronic collections
   management system.
3. Ability to research collections facts and information.
4. Knowledge of written Hebrew language to properly identify and classify
   Judaica and other artifacts.


Evaluation of Experience:  Your rating will be based on an evaluation of your
experience as it relates to the above ranking factors (KASOCS).  Applicants
must clearly describe and explain in their application forms how and when
these factors were acquired and applied to be considered well qualified.

experience in which each KASOC is addressed.

Narrative statement (no more than one page per KSA) of knowledges, skills and

failure
to submit responses to the KSA factors may affect the rating you receive.

If Selective Factors are required, describe experience (paid or unpaid),
education,

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a United States citizen, unless otherwise stated.

and

special priority selection under the ICTAP.  To receive this priority

1.  Be a displaced Federal employee.  You must submit a copy of the
appropriate documentation (as requested below) showing your priority

        2.  Separated because of a compensable injury, whose compensation
has been terminated, and whose former agency certifies that it is unable to
place (you must include a copy of a letter from your former agency within 1
year after being on workers' compensation); or

        3.  Retired with a disability and whose disability annuity has or
is being terminated; (you must include a copy of the OPM letter stating
that your disability annuity is being terminated because you have been
certified as fully recovered or your earnings have reached or exceeded the
amount requiring cancellation of your annuity and a copy of a doctor's
statement certifying that you are fully recovered and ready to return to
work); or

        4.  Upon receipt of a RIF separation notice retired on the
effective date of the RIF (you must include a copy of your SF-50 that
indicates "Retirement in lieu of RIF"); or

        5.  Retired under discontinued service retirement option; (you must
include a copy of your SF-50 stating you retired in lieu of RIF); or

        6.  Was separated because he/she declined a transfer of function
or directed reassignment to another commuting area (you must include a copy
of your SF-50 indicating that you were separated because you declined a
transfer of function or a directed reassignment outside of your local
commuting area).

    B.  Former Military Reserve or National Guard Technicians who are
receiving a special Office of Personnel Management (OPM) disability
retirement annuity under section 8337(h) or 8456 of Title 5 United States
Code.  You must include a copy of your eligibility letter from the National
