In response to the suggestion to visit zoos in Louisiana:

Thanks for the advice -- we have, in fact, been to the Audubon Zoo already.  It *is* fabulous!

But I'm not looking for an itinerary at this point.  Rather, I would like to learn of other institutions that have sent exhibit teams on research trips to experience  first-hand the natural (or cultural) areas their exhibits would be replicating.

Next time I'm down in Nawlins, I'll be sure to say hello!
