The Douglas County Museum seeks an individual who is energetic, creative and
results oriented to serve as its full-time Museum Director.  Objectives
would include organizing a minimum of two exhibits per year, one speaker
program and one event for members and the public per quarter, and two
fundraisers per year.  Services will also include grant writing, school and
county outreach, care of artifacts, coordinating building maintenance,
coordinating  volunteers and special projects as agreed upon.

Desired Skills & Education -
. Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in the following or
closely related fields: Museum Studies, History, Public Administration,
Education or Business Administration.
. Excellent writing and speaking skills - experience in grant writing a
plus.
. Basic computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point) - experience with
PastPerfect software a plus
. Ability to work well with Board of Trustees, volunteers and others
