The Museum Studies Program at Harvard Extension School offers one course en-
titled "Museum Education" taught by John Shane, Vice President for Public
Programs at the Boston Museum of Science.  I have taken the course and it is
excellent, providing a comprehensive view of the theory and practice of
museum education.  Another course, "Exhibit Design" taught by Richard Riccio
from Harvard's Peabody Museum (anthropology/ethnography), also touches on
issues of "informal learning" and how they relate to exhibition planning.
