INTERACTIVE MUSIC MUSEUM - 6 POSITIONS
Dedicated to celebrating creativity and innovation as expresssed through
American popular music, this West coast non-profit museum is seeking
experienced candidates for the following positions:

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Individual must have ability to propose and develop innovative interpretive
programs and materials for museum exhibitions vis a vis contemporary popular
music and its relationship to contemporary culture.  QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience must include five years developing and managing educational
programs for a museum or other cultural institution; a strong, diverse
background in contemporary museum education methods; development of
educational products for school and home markets.  An advanced degree in
education or area related to museum's content emphasisis required, as are
superb interpersonal and organizational skills.  SALARY:  $60,000-$70,000.

CURATORIAL DIRECTOR
A leader is sought for the creation and management of all exhibits, to
oversee the collection development and manaement of curatorial programs and
to design a collection research program. QUALIFICATIONS:  The individual
should have working knowledge of the techniques of selection, evaluation,
preservatiohn, conservation and exhibition of objects, as well as knowledge
of the current market and current custom regulations in the specialiazied
area.  An advanced degree ofor related experience in arts management or
musicologyu is required plus three hyears museum management experience.
Evidence of scholarly research and writing is essential.  SALARY:
$70,000-$75,000.

EXHIBIT PRODUCTION MANAGER
Position involves management of the design process, fabrication and
installation of all exhibits.  QUALIFICTIONS:  A thorough knowledge of
exhibit construction methods and documentation is needed as is experience
with artifact conservation.  A BA degree in an arts related field and five
years experience in managing exhibition installations is required.  SALARY:
$40,000-45,000.

PROJECT MANAGER - INTERIOR/CONSTRUCTION
Architect needed to coordinate all architectural issues relating to
exhibition design and installation at the museum.  QUALIFICATIONS:  A
thorough understanding of al phases and requirements of architectural
construction and especially interior construction is needed.  A degree in
architecture plust at least three years of interior project construction
management is required.  SALARY:  $35,000-$40,000.

SOUND LAB/EDUCATION ASSOCIATE
This person functions as the in-house resource for the educational
components of all Sound Lab exhibitis, which illusrate relationships between
music, science and technology, and provide interactive opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:  A demonstrated understanding of all aspects of music
education is needed, plus the ability to develop innovative methods of
involving visitors in the creative processes in making music.  A degree in
Music Education plus four to six years experience in exhibition devlopment
for a wide age range is required, as is specific experience developing
evauation and testing.  SALARY:  $50,000.

SOUND LAB/TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE
The Associate functions as the in-house resource for the technological
component interface and of all Sound Lab exhibits, which illustrate
relationships between music, sciene and technology, and provide interactive
opportunities.  QUALIFICATIONS:  A thorough understanding of all aspects of
contemporary popular music technology is neeeded and the ability to crate
technological methods that promote the interactive elements in the
galleries.  SALARY:  $50,000.
