Historic Fort Stockton is an ex-US Army fort in West Texas, and they
have a living history group who portray soldiers and women on the
frontier during the Indian Wars Period. They have a big event once a
year, on the first weekend of November. They can be contacted on 915
336 2400.
There are a number of other forts in the area, who also have living
history groups and events, such as Fort Davis (National Park Service)
and Fort Concho (San Angelo)
http://www.fortconcho.com/main.html
and people from the various sites travel to the events held by others
on a regular basis.
Hope this helps!
Heather
