I'd love to know what was mean spirited about a factual remark. And I used
decorum

Subject: Closet Question and Member Disrespect

To All List Members,

Because of the dynamic nature of our field, we constantly have members
joining the listserv and dropping off. May we please use more decorum when
responding to questions from other members? Even if you have seen the
question cycle through 5 or 6 times before, it is a real question for the
person posting it, and they deserve the respect of the other "professionals"
on the list.

Please also remember to include your name and institution in your
responses...be willing to own your comments.

Yes we have beaten this subject to death. Why would they need closets, they
had few clothes

Subject: Closets and Tax Laws

Dear List,
Does anyone know the details regarding 19th century property tax laws and
closets? I'm trying to substantiate the historic house tale that people did
not build closets because they were taxed as rooms. If true, can anyone
refer me to a source of the dates and details related to these laws?

Thanks for any insight that you may have!
