I'm a graduate student in museum studies and I pay $850 for a two bedroom
apartment in San Francisco, so a house in Chicago sounds much better. Also, I
chose the museum field knowing full well that salaries would be low, but
knowing also that I would have a career that was satisfying and
intellectually stimulating. I would rather love my job than love my money.
