At our institution, the collections, education, programming, research, etc.
functions fall under the Interpretive Division. Shop, volunteer, human
resources, accounting, PR, development, maintenance, etc. are considered
Operations. Of course, as there are so few of us, almost nobody is strictly
Interpretive or Operations!
