The Mütter Museum recently completed the installation of a new Wet
Specimen Open Storage exhibit entitled "A Body of Parts". In it we have
over 200 biological wet specimens organized from the head down (i.e.
Neurological specimens to Otolaryngology specimens and so forth). We also
created a “Specimen Person” in the center case comprised of a variety of
specimen types (wax models, skeletal samples, wet specimens, etc.) and
body parts. The exhibit, and its home in our new Worden Gallery, was
featured in the latest edition of American Medical News. It is a unique
exhibit and perhaps we can discuss its creation at the session?
